Social Intelligence

Empathy is one of the main tools for social intelligence. However, it is important to note that social intelligence often is confused with social manipulation. Goleman identifies three types of social manipulators, the Machiavellian, narcissistic, and the partner's legs. They do not have to Goleman defines humanistic empathy. The empathic process is defined in three stages: the first is to capture what people are feeling, this requires human contact and facial language to know about the second phase is to feel the emotions of another and the third is to act accordingly. The Machiavellian elnarcisista can capture the emotions of others, however it is difficult to feel what happens to others as they treat others like you but not as "It." The sociopath is often inhibited to understand the emotions of others, much less feel them, even have a stunted sense of emotions.

Obviously with what Goleman tells us, that altruism, charity and love of others is closely linked to empathy. Based on empathy and warmth and cold ethereal concepts. This is how science contributes to individual and social peace we are all called to exercise a humanist compassion and is charity, love of neighbor that allows us to alleviate suffering in an environment of shared solidarity.
